Through
a series of divine appointments, Cheryl Thieu
(at the time an Internal Medicine resident at
Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose)
and Dawn White (at the time a nurse with CityTeam
Ministries in San Jose) met for the first time
in 2001. They soon discovered that God had placed
a call on both their hearts to provide faith-based
health care for the underserved community. Since
there was a clinic at City Team Ministries, where
Dawn worked, this seemed the logical place to
begin.
2002-2003:
Other like-minded Christian professionals in
the San Jose area joined Cheryl and Dawn. Together,
they began to pray for God’s leading and
direction for the future.
